SOMA Cyclist Trapped Under Street Sweeper

A street sweeper and a bicyclist collided in San Francisco’s South of Market district in the early morning hours.  The accident occurred at the intersection of Sixth and Brannan streets around 12:30 a.m. During the collision, the bicyclist became trapped underneath the sweeper vehicle. Fire rescue crews were able to remove the bicyclist from under the sweeper.  The  bicyclist sustained injuries and was transferred to San Francisco General Hospital.
