Attorney Cynthia McGuinn of Rouda Feder Tietjen & McGuinn has been selected as a finalist for the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association’s (SFTLA) Trial Lawyer of the Year Award. The award will be presented at The 17th Annual Trial Lawyer of the Year Gala scheduled for Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at the Hotel Nikko-San Francisco. Attorneys John McGuinn and Robert Igleheart are also listed on the nomination and will be in attendance.

Ms. McGuinn is nominated for her work on the Cole v. Henry case. RFTM’s client suffered catastrophic back injuries after her father fell asleep at the wheel and crashed as they crossed the country in a rental truck. Ms. Cole ultimately required five spinal surgeries to fuse and stabilize her fractured vertebrae. After a two-month trial, the jury awarded Ms. Cole $13.4 million in damages. Ms. McGuinn is nominated as a finalist because of the complex nature of Ms. Cole’s injuries and the legal hurdles faced during trial.
