Broken Bones
Overview
There are many different types of broken bones. A compound fracture is when the bone breaks through the skin. A comminuted fracture is when the bone is broken into many different pieces. Compression fractures occur from tremendous loading of the bones, usually the spine.
Any broken bone is a serious event. While splints, plates, screws, rods and surgery can put bones back in place, the long-term consequences can be profound. The best thing you can do for yourself is make sure you follow up with your doctor and get appropriate treatment.
If you believe your injury was caused as a result of someone else’s negligence, you should contact us to discuss your case.
